Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Trail & Ride handles personal data today. We do not use analytics, advertising, accounts, comments or cookies, so there is very little to describe.

Controller

The controller for this website is us, the operator of Trail & Ride. We are a small private project, not a company. You can contact us about any data question at connection@trailandride.com.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served through Cloudflare, which provides hosting and content delivery. To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, the requested URL, the date and time, your browser or user-agent and the referrer in server logs.

We do not receive this log data as a separate feed and we do not combine it with anything else. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website. Retention is set by Cloudflare and is short-term.

Email

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message only to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a request we handle for you, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in replying.

We keep the correspondence until the matter is settled and delete it within 12 months after the last message, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer.

What we do not do

We want to be clear about everything the site does not do.

  • No analytics or usage statistics.
  • No advertising cookies or pixels.
  • No tracking of visitors across pages or sites.
  • No newsletters.
  • No social media plugins or share scripts.
  • No third-party fonts, maps or embeds.
  • No automated decision making or profiling.

Recipients and transfers

The only recipient of technical data is Cloudflare, acting as our processor and infrastructure provider. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area under its own data protection terms and safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR, and the right to withdraw consent where consent was the basis for processing. To exercise any of these, write to us at connection@trailandride.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example in your country of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

External links

Our pages link to third-party sites such as official tourism, transport, park and map services. These sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them. Opening such a link transfers your IP address to the site you visit.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we add advertising or analytics later, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
